The Council of Legal Education- Sierra Leone Law School that certifies Call to the country’s Bar has published its final year students’ examination result for 2022, with 101 passes.
According to a list published by the school on Tuesday 25th October, 2022, a total of 269 students attempted the exams in which 48 failed, 107 got references and 13 had their results withheld.
The Law School is the only educational institution that is charged with the responsibility of certifying students to practice law as a profession.
Unlike in the past when Fourah Bay College was the only higher learning institution offering law degrees in the country, Sierra Leone now has four universities and colleges providing the same, with successful students later enrolling into law school.
University of Sierra Leone, Njala University, IMATT College and University of Makeni (UNIMAK) are the institutions offering law courses.
This year’s result indicates that none of the students got first class. Of the 101 passes, 48 got second class while the remaining 53 got third division.
