Sierra Leone recorded 0.55% and 0.25% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total recoveries respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Burkina Faso (1.18%), Cape Verde (3.71%), Ivory Coast (1.52%), Gambia (5.93%), Ghana (0.81%), Guinea (1.71%), Mali (1.46%), Nigeria (0.99%), Senegal (1.70%), Togo (2.56%), Manor River Union or MRU (1.47%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.23%), Africa (1.94%), Europe (2.01%), North America (1.97%), South America (3.02%), Asia (4.39%) and the World (2.89%). However, increase in total cases in Liberia (0.46%) and Niger (0.09%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Cape Verde (5.26%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (1.74%), Ghana (2.22%), Nigeria (1.79%), Senegal (1.79%), Togo (3.70%), MRU (0.61%), ECOWAS (0.76%), Africa (2.47%), Europe (0.40%), North America (1.23%), South America (2.09%), Asia (3.07%) and the World (1.58%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (3.88%), Ivory Coast (2.35%), Gambia (38.90%), Ghana (1.35%), Guinea (1.99%), Liberia (4.81%), Mali (5.55%), Niger (0.28%), Nigeria (1.51%), Senegal (3.83%), Togo (2.45%), MRU (2.19%), ECOWAS (2.04%), Africa (2.33%), Europe (1.34%), North America (2.46%), South America (4.60%), Asia (4.99%) and the World (3.70%). Benin, Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
