Sierra Leone recorded 0.23% and 0.23% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.43%), Cape Verde (0.80%), Ivory Coast (3.39%), Gambia (0.51%), Ghana (1.65%), Guinea (0.79%), Guinea-Bissau (0.64%), Liberia (0.30%), Mali (0.75%), Nigeria (0.69%), Senegal (1.23%), Togo (3.34%), the Manor River Union or MRU (2.29%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.19%), Africa (0.55%), Europe (1.01%), North America (0.49%), South America (1.12%), Asia (0.65%) and the world (0.78%). Benin and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Ghana (4.26%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.33%), Ivory Coast (2.54%), Gambia (0.66%), Guinea (1.09%), Guinea-Bissau (2.08%), Mali (0.28%), Nigeria (0.77%), Senegal (0.78%), Togo (3.53%), MRU (1.33%), ECOWAS (1.22%), Africa (0.55%), Europe (0.86%), North America (0.74%), South America (1.04%), Asia (0.51%) and the world (0.79%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.56%), Cape Verde (0.58%), Ivory Coast (0.99%), Gambia (0.78%), Ghana (2.21%), Guinea-Bissau (1.64%), Mali (0.26%), Nigeria (0.89%), Senegal (1.89%), Togo (4.31%), MRU (0.67%), ECOWAS (1.24%), Africa (0.57%), Europe (1.38%), North America (0.88%), South America (0.76%), Asia (0.54%) and the world (0.89%). Percentage increase in total recoveries in Guinea (0.15%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone.
