Sierra Leone recorded 0.38% and 0.18% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 120 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (06:00 pm).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (2.76%), Burkina Faso (0.90%), Cape Verde (4.92%), Ivory Coast (4.92%), Gambia (0.68%), Guinea (2.69%), Guinea-Bissau (0.46%), Mali (10.78%), Niger (0.57%), Senegal (0.77%), Togo (4.63%), the Manor River Union or MRU (1.26%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.09%), Africa (1.37%), Europe (2.27%), North America (1.21%), South America (2.89%), Asia (4.91%) and the world (2.65%). However, percentage increase in total cases was lower in Ghana (0.28%) and Nigeria (0.21%) compared to Sierra Leone. Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Cape Verde (5.14%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (2.00%), Ivory Coast (4.28%), Gambia (1.20%), Ghana (0.27%), Guinea (3.82%), Mali (3.50%), Niger (0.53%), Nigeria (0.15%), Senegal (0.84%), Togo (2.65%), MRU (2.90%), ECOWAS (1.07%), Africa (1.21%), Europe (1.84%), North America (0.98%), South America (3.41%), Asia (2.50%) and the world (1.98%). Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.69%), Cape Verde (3.50%), Ivory Coast (2.85%), Gambia (0.67%), Ghana (0.32%), Guinea (2.10%), Guinea-Bissau (1.22%), Mali (1.89%), Niger (0.74%), Nigeria (0.25%), Senegal (0.86%), Togo (8.28%), MRU (2.45%), ECOWAS (1.03%), Africa (1.23%), Europe (2.43%), North America (1.48%), South America (2.68%), Asia (3.50%) and the world (2.45%). Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
