Sierra Leone recorded 0.39%, 1.39% and 0.40% increase in COVID-19 total cases, total deaths and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Benin (2.78%), Burkina Faso(0.48%), Cape Verde (3.02%), Guinea (1.09%), Mali (1.07%), Nigeria (0.67%), Togo (1.74%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.55%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.57%), Africa (1.12%), Europe (3.84%), North America (1.33%), South America (1.03%), Asia (1.32%) and the World (1.66%). However, increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.31%), Gambia (0.17%), Ghana (0.06%), Liberia (0.07%), Niger (0.25%) and Senegal (0.16%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Secondly, Sierra Leone’s increase in total deaths was lower compared to Cape Verde (5.33%) and Togo (4.08%). However, Ghana (0.65%), Nigeria (0.09%), Senegal (0.32%), MRU (0.29%), ECOWAS (0.41%), Africa (1.33%), Europe (1.02%), North America (0.86%), South America (0.90%), Asia (1.11%) and the world (0.97%) recorded lower increase in total deaths compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali and Niger recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (18.09%), Burkina Faso (0.64%), Cape Verde (3.21%), Mali (0.67%), Senegal (0.47%), Togo (0.82%), ECOWAS (0.57%), Africa (0.90%), Europe (1.48%), North America (1.72%), South America (1.67%), Asia (1.72%) and the World (1.64%). Ivory Coast (0.21%), Gambia (0.08%), Ghana (0.04%), Guinea (0.13%), Liberia (0.32%), Nigeria (0.39%) and MRU (0.20%) recorded lower increase in total recoveries compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
