Shake up at Mighty Blackpool

Politico can authoritatively report that former Sierra Leone international, Musa Kallon will take over as coach of struggling Mighty Blackpool, initially for the remaining matches of the first round of the current Sierra Leone Premier League.

A senior official of the management team of Blackpool told Politico last night that there was an agreement in principle for Kallon to take over but a “few details are still being worked out”.

Politico understands that coach Kallon wants to be in charge of FC Kallon, where he serves as Technical Director, when they face archrivals East End Lions this weekend before taking the job at Blackpool.

Meanwhile when Mighty Blackpool take on Ports Authority on Sunday 10th October at the Siaka Steven Stadium, their former star Hamuday Ajami would be in temporary charge, according to Sho Cole, a member of the team’s board.

Musa Kallon has a lot of experience working as a coach in this country. He replaces Mohamed Turay who was sacked for poor results after defeat to lowly Mount Aureol SLIFA last Wednesday. Mighty Blackpool are 14th in the table with 11 points after 12 matches.
