President Ernest Bai Koroma has just announced a reshuffle of his administration and Parastatals.
As is typical of him he made the announcement on the last day of the week - Friday 29 November.
While a State House press release says more changes will be announced shortly, the following reshuffle has happened.
The most surprising, perhaps, is the appointment as Ambassador to South Korea of the former spokesman of the rebel Revolutionary United Front, Omrie Golley.
The Director General of Foreign Affairs, Rasie Kargbo becomes the first female State Chief of Protocol at State House, replacing Sullay Daramy who now becomes Ambassador to The Gambia.
In Mrs Kargbo's place is the Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union, Andrew Bangali whose replacement is Osman Keh Kamara who will be deputised by journalism lecturer, Ismael Koroma who until last year was also Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists.
Alhaji Mohamed Sillah Kargbo is the new Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Two other surprising announcements are the former Inspector General of Police, Brima Acha Kamara who has been appointed Ambassador to Liberia, and in line with recent tradition the former head of the Army, Major General Alfred Claude Nelson-Williams becomes Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria.
Rather curiously the head of the National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM), Siray Timbo has been replaced by Dr Tom Oballeh Kargbo. Sources close to the presidency say Timbo is billed to become the new Minister of Works after the sacking a few weeks ago of Alimamy Petito Koroma.
Lawyer Sulaiman Kabba Koroma has been named the new head of the National Revenue Authority whose Board of Directors he had served on for four years and once acted as Chairman.
The former Mayor of Freetown, Winstanley Bankole-Johnson is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank having been moved from the Road Maintenance Fund where he has had rough times with the management. In that place now is Y.T. Sesay.
Dr Michael Kargbo, a university lecturer is the new Chairman of the National Commission for Privatisation, while Arthur Harvey who defected from the opposition Sierra Leone People's Party, is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Sierra Leone Roads Authority.
