The Sierra Leone female Beach Volleyball team has left for Guinea on Tuesday to launch their 2020 Tokyo Olympics campaign.
The nine-man delegation are set to participate in the Zone 2 Olympic qualifiers. The country will compete against Mali, Gambia, Guinea, Cape Verde.
Sierra Leone will need to finish at least second to qualify to the next phase of qualifiers. Maria G. Fofana and Francess Lansana have been named in team one and Fatmata Binta Bah and Bernadette Fofanah have been named in team two.
Iye Kadae Kairah and Zainab A. Kamara re the reserved players travelling with the team.
Swimming is the only sport from Sierra Leone that has successfully qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
