The Technical Team of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has on Wednesday published the names of 43 players to start training ahead of the Nigeria game.
Leone Stars of Sierra Leone will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Freetown on the 23rd of March, in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
The second leg of the fixture will then be played in Nigeria a week later.
The fixture was originally scheduled to be played in September this year.
Sierra Leone seats third in the group, just behind Benin and Nigeria.
East End Lions and FC Kallon had the highest call up, with eight players each in the 43-man list. League leaders, Kamboi Eagles had six whiles their neighbors, Bo Rangers had seven.
Musa Kamara (Musa Tombo) was recalled after serving a two-match suspension by the technical team for disciplinary issues.
FC Kallon striker, Baimba Sesay, was not named among the strikers that were called. In his place comes Ron Ghandi Williams of Kamboi Eagles.
The players were drawn from all 14 clubs in the league. RSLAF FC, Anti-Drugs and Central Parade, all had one call ups each.
The players will now be required to balance their training with the national team and their clubs.
The list might grow when Head Coach, Sellas Tetteh invites foreign based players to join the squad up later next month.
But the number will be grossly reduced from 43 to probably a dozen home-based players.
