NO OXYGEN, PRIEST DIES: WE MUST INVESTIGATE THIS

The last thing we really wanted was some argument about the circumstances leading to death of Philosopher priest Fr. Alfred Labor but we are very sorry to be doing that right now. At the funeral service on Wednesday, the preacher, Fr. Peter Conteh described his late colleague as "a victim of our poor health system". He was talking about Sierra Leone's health care delivery system. He said that in Fr. Labor's last hour or so on this earth, he was gasping for breath at Connaught hospital with nobody around to administer oxygen to the man. He said they called the person who was supposed to do that job but his phone was switched off. Absolutely unbelievable!

Ok, let's put a few things on the ground before we proceed. The late man was 75 and had been ill for some time. But we believe that he would still be alive today, if he had been given oxygen at that material time. How come somebody who was supposed to be doing such an important function was not at work? Did anybody know he would be away? Why was it impossible to get another person to do the job? Many questions eh?

We believe that there are many of our brothers and sisters who are dying quietly because of recklessness in our public hospitals. Here is an opportunity for those who run Connaught hospital to prove they are serious about providing care to the people.

1. Let them immediately set up a public inquiry to investigate the claims made by Fr. Peter Conteh regarding the unavailability of hospital personnel to administer oxygen to the late Fr. Alfred Labor.

2.This should be preceded by them suspending from work all those who were supposed to be on duty at that particular time.

3. The inquiry must last no more than three weeks. We don't want any long drawn out thing that could, in the end become a farce like the SembegaJanneh Commission that De Pa set up on taking office in 2007. As they say in the UN, we remain ceased of this matter.

COME ON ECOBANK: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Imagine turning up at your bank in the morning to transact some business and being told that access to you account is denied because at the time you opened the account, you didn't fill in details like your address or phone number, or that kind of thing. Is that true ECOBANK? How do you open an account without such vital details?

Ok let's say you were in haste to get customers in those early days, why haven't you corrected that all these years? And you know, the notice for this operation came out after hundreds of customers had been embarrassed at your different branches.

We really love and respect ECOBANK. In fact, that's the reason we writing about this. We want ECOBANK to maintain the standards we have come to know and respect them for.

We met a man who had to pay some urgent hospital bill but his cheque, sent through his office assistant, was stopped because the guy didn't fill in his address at the time he opened the account with ECOBANK.

On behalf of all those who came to our office to complain, we demand an unqualified apology from this bank. We will not tolerate ECOBANK behaving like some of those other ones that are almost collapsing because of corruption and incompetence.

SLFA INTERIM BODY HANGING BY THEIR FINGER NAIL

So the drama in the SLFA continues. A group of people calling themselves football stakeholders say they have sacked the queen and her gang but corrupt FIFA is standing by the queen. Now we are building up to the queen's own congress...we don't know where the delegates would come from. We are sure however that Julius Cole would resurrect from his grave to represent WAFA or Brookfields United again hahahahahahah! We always hear from him when the queen is under pressure...anyway.

We've been reading some interesting letter they wrote to FIFA after the organisation told them they do not recognise any interim SLFA administration.

SLFA INTERIM BODY - "The facts are that until it was constitutionally removed in December 2014, the former administration of Isha Johansen had been an abysmal failure and a disappointment to our football-loving nation"

Twitter - the strange thing about this letter is that it was signed and dispatched by Unisa Alim Sesay. Very Strange indeed is also the fact that the letter had the blessing of Pope John Paul of the sport ministry. One year is a long time in sport administration.

One year ago, the Pope and Awoko were all over the place telling the world the queen was the best human being in Sierra Leone to run football. One year ago, the Pope divided this country into black and white Sierra Leoneans. One year ago, the same stakeholders, the Pope is hanging out with today were called all sorts of names. One year later, Awoko and the Pope have done a 360 degree u-turn. Their ally in FIFA, Primo Calvaro will be amazed at the outcome of this friendship.

Many Sierra Leoneans told you the queen was not a good candidate but you guys plotted the downfall of three credible candidates to make way for the queen. Please don't come back to us with your cries. We really feel sorry for those sport administrators who knew all along that the Queen was bad for football.

SLFA INTERIM BODY - As I have maintained in the previous communications, the newly appointed interim committee would work steadfastly to meet its objectives. As we do, we would like to count on the support of FIFA and other international partners. Should you maintain your current stance, however, be assured that you would be dealing with those individuals at your own risk.

Twitter - Hahahahahahahaha! why don't you try taking over the secretariat of the SLFA. The queen has deployed soldiers from the British SAS to guard the place. We are talking about SAS, those guys who destroyed the CRIMINAL so-called WEST SIDE BOYS in the war years.

If you have truly impeached the queen, go and get the office. If you need fire power, we recommend you hire LEATHER BOOT. Hahahahahahaha! We've not heard from him for a long time. The guy is idle. He was among the few who tactically escaped from OKRA HILL. Go for him now.

We understand the Pope is providing you an office - what? Let's be realistic, the president of Sierra Leone must have access to State House. Please guys go to Kingtom and fight your way in with LEATHER BOOT commanding your troops. We will be there to report.

EBOLA FEAR  VEILS AFRICAN NATIONS CUP TOURNAMENT

Can somebody please help us get a visa for Equatorial Guinea? We absolutely want to be there, not to witness the football, but to sell chlorine and hand sanitisers. We are very serious. Among all those countries only Guinea has some experience with Ebola but the fear of Ebola is enough for us to make a lot of money.

We have a business plan: before players go to the field they will bathe themselves in chlorinated water. They will do the same after every match. They will also need sanitiser to keep in their pockets because every time they shake somebody's hand, they will need to sanitise themselves...does anybody understand what we are saying?

Last week we put in orders from our suppliers in South Korea. Our goods are due on Saturday morning. Please people help us with visa. Our flight will go through Morocco and Nigeria before landing in Equatorial Guinea...aaaaaaaayyyyy Salone.
