YVONNE KEMOKAI FIGHTING HER CHIEF ADMINISTRATOR
Night is turning into day at the FCC on the watch of our dear Mayor Yvonne Kemokai of the anti buwa- bisieh fame. We don’t know how many people will eventually run away but we know that behind that broad smile and grumbling about central government bullying lies a consistent plan to make the NEW DIRECTION look bad so that the tolongbo return to power would be easy with Yvonne Kemokai as president.
In that leaked audio, she explained this plan very well and congratulated herself for executing it well and that all she needed now for complete state capture was the full backing of all tolongbo people. Well done Mayor Kemokai.
When we hear about the government embarking on a witch hunt to destabilize Mayor Kemokai, we just laugh our sides out at a puerile attempt to deflect attention away from what the Mayor has been doing in office over the last three years. Not matter what she puts in that glossy magazine she calls a status report; the reality of the situation is now there for all to see.
1. Mayor Kemokai invited her TRUSTED tolongbo allies into a room somewhere – we don’t know if it was inside her new Korean gift of a City Hall but this was a very secret meeting, away from the normal workings of the FCC. They all agreed to lock the door to the meeting place so they could have a “frank” conversation. This is a fact.
2. Firmly behind that closed door with her allies, Mayor Kemokai pours out her soul on many issues but principally on the way she is treating the central government, her morbid dislike for all buwa-bisieh people and her battles for the soul of tolongbo. This is a fact.
3. One of her “allies” in that upper room recorded the whole conversation and delivered it to their real master. By this time, Mayor Kemokai knows who did that inside job and why. We want that in a full and unqualified apology.
4. Those of us now calling on our Mayor to resign on the basis of what she said from her heart behind closed doors are being accused of engaging in a witch hunt. Is Osman Yansaneh really serious? That incident also served to alert the tolongbo scribe to the dangerous power struggle within his organization. He wouldn’t talk about that in public. He prefers portraying Mayor Kemokai as a VICTIM. We will not allow that to happen.
5. We are now waiting to read the report of the inquiry that will take place at the FCC on the orders of the local government minister. We urge the members of the inquiry team to check out an outfit called the MAYOR’S DELIVERY UNIT. We want to know how many people are in that unit, how they were recruited, under what conditions – in other words how much are they paid and where their salaries come from. We also want to know how their functions relate to the original FCC staff.
KUNG FU MASTER SANDY TO FACE LANDS COMMISSION
A few months have gone by now since Dennis KUNG FU Sandy was sacked for the second time while serving two masters in the same ministry. So this guy who was running around arguing in full view of the public and on camera with his colleague minister over land and also arresting witches and wizards inside his office, again on camera has now gone quiet. He is now hoping to return to the same ministry in another political administration. We shall see.
His immediate concern now is the Lands Complaints Panel set up by the man who succeeded him in that office. That panel is looking at what KUNG FU boy did with lands he took from people and those that were already in government hands. A few weeks into their work and we are getting a lot of interesting details of some of the complaints filed with the panel and also from live testimony. We understand KUNG FU boy himself is due to testify any time now. This is what we call democratic accountability.
Since KUNG FU boy was sacked, all the noise about land acquisition has reduced drastically. Kotor Juldeh is not having headaches anymore because at the height of KUNG FU boy’s display of power, he was the one called upon to restore calm. Somebody told us the other day that the number of people hurt by KUNG FU BOY is enough to cheer Leone Stars to victory should our brothers from Benin stop being foolish and return to this country to play the AFCON qualifier.
Our eyes and ears are on that commission. On behalf of our readers we will try and get the transcript of his question and answer session.
HOW IS SLFA REALLY CONNECTED TO THE ROYAL FAMILY IN THE UK?
The SLFA of Queen Johansen was among the first organizations to send letters of condolence to Queen Elizabeth and the royal family following the death of Prince Philip at the ripe old age of 99. We believe that the letter, written on official SLFA paper and signed by Johansen herself (she doesn’t normally sign SLFA papers) reached the British establishment long before the government of Sierra Leone and many other dispatched theirs.
By all accounts, this is a very sad event for the whole commonwealth and we join others in wishing the queen and the royal family courage and strength during this difficult period. But we are still scratching our heads to find the direct link between SLFA in Sierra Leone and the British Royal family?
Here is a woman who goes around destroying all his opponents for political reasons by accusing them falsely of match-fixing and then disqualifying them from the presidential race out of fear they will beat her hands down now trying to look like a real human being using the death of Prince Philip. Yes the Prince was head of the FA in the 50s but he was into other sports after a brief time in football.
We recently lost NINE players in some road crash in the north of Sierra Leone; we can’t remember Johansen’s personal involvement. A former Vice President of this country was buried a few days ago. We didn’t see any statement from Johansen’s SLFA. This hypocrisy must stop.
We know that she believes the international media are more relevant to her than the ones here at home but surely she had to say something personally about the death of those players, especially given the circumstances. But that’s the woman fighting tooth and nail to lead the SLFA for 12 years at least. She has spent FOUR ILLEGAL YEARS as SLFA president. We hold FIFA personally responsible for the consequences.
THERE ARE MANY POTHOLES IN FREETOWN SO WATCH OUT
It is not because we think that Freetown is Sierra Leone that we frequently bring its issues to the public eye but it is the capital of the country. Freetown deserves frequent check and maintenance. It must appear as a very good place to be when foreigners visit. Freetown must depict the good image of Sierra Leone. We are insisting by saying “must”.
Driving around Freetown these days can be very hectic, apart from the massive traffic jam; the roads have been damaged by several potholes and petty trading. The Central Business District is not a friendly place for motorist.
Abacha Street continues to be a mess. Potholes and traders have taken over the street. Traders occupy the center of the street and have refused to remove their stalls. It’s a pity that successive governments, going back to the days of Ahmad Tejan Kabbah have not been able to end the blockade of Abacha Street of street traders.
Kissy Road, Fourah Bay Road, Lumley Street, Guard Street and many more have been overtaken over by potholes and street trading. At Short Street traders selling shoes have taken it to be their private property.
Elsewhere buildings are going up on footpaths. Noreska (a bread selling restaurant) that is situated on Campbell Street has taken over the footpath so much so that EDSA is not able to pass its high tension cables in a straight line. The danger there is that, when a storm hits the city (which we should expect) one day and those cables are brought down; many people will suffer.
Noreska and others that have encroached must be taught a lesson in proper town planning and how crucial it is to follow planning rules. Someone must act and NOW!!!
