OPERATION DUDULA TO GET STATE BACKING IN SOUTH AFRICA

There are tough times ahead for BLACK foreigners living in South Africa. In fact we are talking about other BLACKS that have migrated to that country for various reasons. In the past we’ve reported about a so-called Operation Dudula – we have no other way of explaining this other than calling it a Xenophobia attack on all BLACKS in that country, particularly those from AFRICA. We are quite sure that black Americans visiting that country are treated differently just like white North Africans and general white people from other parts of the world.

BLACK AFRICANS who gave everything to the struggle to liberate that country from the cruel apartheid system are the ones now being targeted for disgrace and killing while those who supported the apartheid regime are allowed in with open hands to further exploit what is left of South Africa. Isn’t that strange?

We’ve been reading about certain actions now being planned by the ANC government to make life extremely difficult for BLACK foreigners in South Africa and without any doubt we can consider that an official backing for Operation Dudula. This is happening at a time when the rest of Africa is opening with Kenya and Rwanda leading the way in instituting visa-free travel for all Africans, there are loud calls being made for African countries to intensify trade on the continent.

WE MUST CONTINUE TO KEEP AN EYE ON LIBERIA

We are congratulating Liberians for completing their elections recently relatively peacefully and George Weah, the defeated president conceding and congratulating the new guy Joseph Boakai. We are not used to defeated presidents or candidates congratulating their opponents and going about their normal life so we understand why people are congratulating Weah after his directionless SIX YEARS in office.

News coming out of Liberia in the last 72 hours is causing some anxiety inside Liberia and the whole of ECOWAS. We haven’t yet verified what we are reading so far on social media but we know that supporters of the victorious opposition Unity Party were out celebrating at their Party’s office  when an unlicensed vehicle ploughed through them killing about THREE on the spot and injuring many others. The latest we got from Monrovia is that some more may die of their injuries and that the driver of the vehicle has been arrested and the vehicle set ablaze.

We’ve been trying to find out who is actually behind this terrorist-like behavior:

1. It could be that CDC supporters are not in line with their leader George Weah and they are determined to cause some trouble. We have no idea how far they intend to take things but we hope things can be brought under control soon enough to avoid bloodshed after Weah hands over and jets off to Jamaica.

2. Maybe there was no political motive behind what happened at the UP office. The fact that it happened there may be only a coincidence and people should treat this as such and move on.

3. We call on our Sierra Leonean brother and sisters to stay away from party offices and concentrate on their families and businesses. The politics in that country is for Liberians only. We want to be at peace with our neighbors.

EVERTON DROPS INTO RELEGATION AFTER FA ACTION

We wonder how the supporters, managers and players have been processing the decision by the Football Association in that country to dock their club TEN points for breaching financial fair play rules. Everton recently struggled and limped out of that danger zone and now they’ve been forced down again. Would Everton survive the drop again this time? It’s going to be very difficult.

People are saying all over the place now that Manchester City and Chelsea that are also facing such allegations should be ready for heavier blows. The case against City for example has been hanging around for more than a year now and people are beginning to ask whether EVERTON was the low hanging fruit that the FA could easily knock down. Be that as it may, the FA would now surely find themselves under serious pressure to do something about City to avoid being accused of picking on smaller clubs.

The point is, could it be that Farhad Moshiri sold his 94% stake to 777 of America knowing full well that such an action was coming? Why was financial management so bad at Everton? Manchester United is struggling so badly because they couldn’t buy the players they wanted thinking about the dangers of breaching those rules. Everton bought players and failed to sell some. City and Chelsea bought many players and released only a few.

We know Everton are challenging this decision but it’s almost impossible to overturn it. They face Manchester United this weekend looking weak and distracted and their fans would be very angry at those who dragged them into the mess. We know some of the players are now looking to force their way out of the club in January. The ship is sinking into relegation. No need to stay onboard.

NO LIFT AT YOUYI BUILDING: WHAT’S GOING ON?

Please let’s not wait for Chinese engineers to come to this country to repair the lifts at Youyi Building. We cannot overemphasize the importance of that building which houses several ministries, departments and agencies of government. We have witnessed how people struggle on a daily basis to access their offices, especially those beyond the third floor. It’s so serious that some ministers have taken some of their activities to other places.

How did we allow all the lifts in that building to go down without alerting those responsible to the consequences? We have seen Chinese workers there repairing that lift in the past just like they are doing to the stadium. Why should we allow that to happen?

There are workers in that Youyi Building who, even in normal times, would find excuses to stay away from work. Here’s a perfect one delivered on a silver platter. We are watching that situation closely.
