The defending champions of the Sierra Leone Premier League, Bo Rangers, seem to be on the cusp of history.
With 20 matches played, they have not lost a single match, and have won 14, scored 27 goals and conceded only eight, with 13 clean sheets. Their players have won 12 Man of The Match awards.
If they manage to avoid defeat in their remaining 14 matches of the season, they will be one of very few clubs – and the first since EE Lions in 2019 – to go a whole season unbeaten.
Whatever happens in those remaining matches Bo Rangers have set a very high standard for themselves. It also comes with a lot of pressure something the Team Manager, Babadi Kamara says was inevitable.
“As defending champions we were always going to be under pressure anyway”, Babadi said, adding that teams were going to play against them with everything.
“We are obviously excited about what we have achieved so far this season, but we have to keep pushing,” Babadie continues.
He said they were happy to be setting the pace for especially provincial teams.
“I am sure it is historic for a provincial team to play 20 matches without defeat…We are happy about that” he added.
