PROWLING POLITICAL VAMPIRES

See them crawling out of their dirty holes again,

See them coming like roaring lions to devour Lion Mountain.

But who are they? And in whose name are they coming?

Me hear them calling themselves “the democrats”

Coming in the name of the Peoples democracy, they say.

These jiggers, cankerworms, bedbugs, stingy bees are everywhere,

Wide ranges of definition have been given for Political tolerance. For this piece we are limiting ourselves to two.

Some time in June 2012 some local newspapers in Sierra Leone published a story about explicit still and video pictures starring two serving police officers on United Nations peacekeeping duties in Darfur, Sudan. Some published nude pictures especially of the woman. The two officers, the woman in her 50s and the man younger, were having sex and decided to take pictures and film their fun moments.

Plan Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and other partners on Tuesday officially launched the Universal Birth Registration (UBR) project on the theme: “Every Child Has the Right to a Name and Nationality” at the Bintumani Hotel, Aberdeen, Freetown.
