Army leads Kenema hospital cleaning

Members of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) over the weekend embarked on cleaning the Kenema Government Hospital, assisted by youth groups, the Fire Force, and the Bike Riders Union.

According to the Commander Second Infantry Brigade in Kenema, Colonel Alimamy Osman Kamara, they decided to undertake such a venture as part of the civil-military cooperation to help clean and beautify the central government hospital.

Sierra Leone's Foreign Minister wants training for colleagues

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Musa Timothy Kabba has said Ministers needed to be briefed on state protocols and that the new facility at the ministry will be at the centre of such an exercise.

Kabba made this observation to the Chief Minister, Dr. David Sengeh during his on the spot check at the Ministry on the 2nd of October this year.

 Kabba said they want to ensure that Ministers and MDA heads are trained so they could perform well during state functions.

A Prominent Politician in his early 50s, Prince Bindi on the 29th of September 2023 made his second appearance before Presiding Magistrate, Lamin Macathy of Court No.2 for alleged Sexual Penetration of a 9-year-old girl.

The accused was charged with three counts of sexual penetration-related offences.

ACC discusses Audit reports recommendations

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has hosted officials of the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) and the Institute for Governance Reform (IGR) to advance discussions on the Implementation of Audit Recommendations contained in Audit Reports.

The meeting with the two stakeholders was held at ACC Conference Room in Freetown on the 26th September, 2023.
