APC parliamentarians blast NATCOM

Two ruling party members of parliament have accused the telecommunications regulator, NATCOM, of “failing to monitor service providers and their equipment" in line with their statutory mandate.
Addressing mobile phone company executives at a parliamentary committee hearing on Wednesday, the MPs, Sheku Sannoh and Karifala Conteh described NATCOM as “the sole cause of the poor quality network in the country", singling out AIRTEL for “extorting money from their customers for services they do not render”.
UNIPSIL ‘vandalised’ Cabenda hotel

The proprietor of Cabenda hotel, Olufemi Boyle-Hebron has told journalists that the United Nation integrated Office in Sierra Leone has left his property in a state of disrepair, which he said “border on vandalism”.
His allegations come on the eve of the arrival of the United Nations Secretary General, ban Ki-Moon who jets in tonight on a one-day visit to close the UN Mission here.
Police "abandon" accident Victim

The elder brother of two accident victims in Kono has accused the police of "showing no interest" in the welfare of his siblings after they were reportedly hit two weeks ago by a police vehicle (SLP 269) belonging to Tankoro Police Division, leaving the two men aged 32 and 19 years with a broken leg and head injuries respectively.
