Stranded ARIK passengers
Over 100 passengers were left stranded at the Freetown international airport in Lungi on Sunday by Arik Air after the plane failed to show up, according to some of them.
MP blasts judiciary

Member of Parliament for Constituency 71, Frank Kposowa has described as "wretched" the judicial service delivery in the country, which he says in every way undermines the national aspirations by frustrating the work of structures crucial to the achievement of the Agenda for Prosperity (A4P).
Contributing in the debate on the annual budget, the opposition MP said the budget made a nice reading until it came to paragraph 143 which seeks to pour more money into improving the workings of the judiciary.
Xmas gifts to Koidu Hospital

It seems Christmas has come too early for the Koidu Government Hospital as a Christian non-governmental organization over the weekend donated assorted medical equipment to the hospital.
With support from their partners in Austria, Korea and Taiwan, World Vision Sierra Leone (WV-S/L) donated Microscope Slide, Disposable Limbs, Leg pillows, baby care kits, synthetic examination gloves and child care kits to the Koidu government hospital.
Cry for Justice over "Police Brutality"

The chairman of the Human Rights Committee of Kono District (KDHRC) has called on the government to bring to justice seven Operational Support Division policemen for allegedly beating one Tamba Lebbie to coma in October.

Executive director, Health for All coalition, says his organisation is ever committed to ensuring accountability and transparency in Sierra Leone’s health sector as a way to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
Charles Mambu, after winning the “good practice programme monitoring award” told journalists in Freetown that he was grateful to UNFPA for acknowledging their work.
He said 22 countries were up for this year’s award but that his organisation emerged the winner for the west and central Africa regions.
