High grade diamonds found on Nimini Hills
Two companies next to Oraco Resources, with some 50 square kilometer concessions in Nimini Hills in the Kono district, east of Sierra Leone, have reported significant findings which demonstrate a tremendous potential in the area.
In a press release, one of these companies, Stellar Diamonds, PLC, announced that it had completed the final bulk sampling of diamond grades and values from its Lion-5 kimberlite dyke at their site in Kono.

Vigilante blamed for Wellington killings
Police has blamed yesterday’s ill-fated killings, by its officers of two young men suspected to be armed robbers in Wellington, on a vigilante group that was formed to man the area following recent spate of armed robberies.
“I am not sure and no police has confirmed whether police was informed about the setting up of vigilante group in the area. In fact we don’t have vigilante in our community policing. What we have are community safety volunteers,” said police spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ibrahim Samura.
