2 in custody over alleged killing in Pujehun

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police in the southern region is currently investigating Mohamed Marrah and Abu Marrah for allegedly killing Momoh Foray in Fayiama village, Sowa chiefdom, Pujehun district.

Harford School tops radical inclusion debate

The prestigious Harford School for Girls in Moyamba District emerged winners of the ‘’Radical Inclusion Debate and Quiz competition in which 14 schools in the district took part.

The primary focus of the debate were the Government’s Big Five Agenda and all participating students were made to study the various aspects embodied in the government’s flagship initiative, as well as the radical   inclusion document espoused by the Chief Minister in the Office of the President, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh.

Just over two weeks after President Bio signed performance contracts with his ministers; the Chief Minister has told heads of State-owned Enterprises that by the end of a month “we will sign performance contracts with all of SOEs. This is what we mean by improving the public sector architecture - one of President Bio's Big 5”.

Skye Bank manslaughter case: Second PW testifies

The second prosecution witness, Mustapha Conteh, in the ongoing manslaughter trial involving the then Managing Director of Skye Bank in Sierra Leone, Ikubolaje Nicol over the alleged killing of his junior staff, Ms. Sinnah Kai Kargbo, has testified that he saw the deceased in the bathroom, trembling and biting her tongue.

YSC violence: Ali Jaffa remanded

A magistrate in Freetown has remanded popular businessman Ali Jaffa in custody for alleged unlawful possession of arms. The 50-year-old businessman appeared before Magistrate Santigie Bangura at the Pademba Road Court No. 2 on Friday 26th April, 2024.

Jaffa faces six counts ranging from being found in possession of ammunition without license and having control of small arms without license, unlawful concealment of small arms, keeping a greater number of small arms without license and among others.
