The Chief Justice of Sierra Leone, Justice Desmond Babatunde Edwards has on Wednesday 10th May 2023, appointed 26 judges to administer justice at the newly established Electoral Offences and Petitions Courts across the country.
20 of the judges are assigned to specific regions and districts, according to the Sierra Leone Gazette published on Thursday 11th May this year, also stating that the other six judges are assigned generally to the courts.
President Julius Maada Bio says the National Grand Coalition (NGC) Progressive Alliance between the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) and the National Grand Coalition is not just about winning the 2023 elections, but about governing and delivering what the citizens want.
The president was admonishing his supporters when introducing their progressive and strategic alliance to the people of Bo over the weekend.

The National Health Sector Strategic Plan (NHSSP) that spans from 2021 to 2025 has indicated that access to essential products for health remains a challenge in Sierra Leone.
The Document acknowledged that access to high quality, safe, efficacious and cost-effective essential medical products, vaccines and technologies are necessities for a resilient health system.
It recommended that the creation of a strong supply chain management system will enable quality product availability at all health system levels.

Police Media 2 for the Southern Region Alhaji Osman Mansaray has told Politico that ten people alleged to be supporters of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) Party are in police custody in the Bo for riotous conduct and other offences.
He said they are being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for alleged riotous conduct and wounding of six persons in Foindu, Perri Chiefdom in Pujehun district.

Past Pupils of Government Secondary School in Kenema under the fraternity Kenema Old Students Association (KOSA) have celebrated 71 years of the school’s existence and the 48th year since the association was formed.
The celebrations held simultaneously at the school’s compound at Combema Road in Kenema were graced by eminent individuals including the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio who was inducted as Associate Member of KOSA.
