The Director- General of the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), Ret. Lt. General Brima Sesay has in the official launch of the Sierra Leone Disaster Risk Financing Strategy and Implementation Plan at the Atlantic Lumley Hotel in Freetown said they have recorded four hundred and ninety-two disaster incidences across the country since the establishment of the agency in 2020.

Inspector-General of Police William Fayia Sellu has recommended the setting up of a fast-track court in the country to deal with drug-related offences.
He made this call during a Committee Hearing in Parliament on the 18th of March 2024, where most of the stakeholders related to drug issues were summoned in a bid for Members of Parliament to get an understanding of the issue from various perspectives.

The National Tourist Board yesterday 19th March commenced the demolition of over thirty bars and restaurants at the Lumley beach in Freetown.
Speaking in an interview with Politico on the 18th of March this year, the Public Relations Officer of the National Tourist Board, Rabbi Kai Bockarie said a notice letter was earlier sent to beach property owners, informing them to remove permanent and makeshift structures from the beachfront.

A delegation of seven Executive Directors from the African Development Bank (ADB) Group is in Sierra Leone on a five-day impact assessment visit and consultation mission aimed at deepening the partnership between the Bank and the West African Nation.
The delegation paid a visit to one of the Governors of AfDB who is also Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance, Sheku Fantamadi Bangura.
