State-of-the-art facilities as E.E. Lions pitch to serve east and beyond

Politico sports can confirm that when the project to upgrade the football pitch in the east of the city at a place called Trade Center where East End Lions play their home matches is complete fans will experience state-of-the-art facilities open to all. The people in the east end of Freetown are celebrating.

EE Lions chairman Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr., announced the arrival of a container of equipment required to build the modern structure and experienced contractors to build a state-of-the-art Football pitch.

Women’s League Board condemns attack on female referee

The Women’s Premier League Board has strongly condemned an attack on a female referee during a match in the ongoing Women’s Premier League.

The attack occurred in the match between F.C Kallon and  Mogbwemo Queens at the Angola Field, Western Rural on the 9th February, 2024.

A press release issued by the Board indicated that its attention has been drawn to the game that was clamored with violence instigated and perpetrated by supporters and officials of one of the clubs.

UNFPA calls for end to condom-use stigmatization

The United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) country representative in Sierra Leone, Nadia Rashids has called on Sierra Leoneans to end condom usestigmatization.

Briefing the media on 7th February this year at the UNFPA Head Office in Freetown about the International Condom Day commemorative events scheduled from the 14th to 16th February , Rashids called on the public to De- stigmatize condom use, adding that all stereotypes should be challenged.

Treason trial: Jury selected in the trial of Koita, 11 others

A 12 person jury has been selected for the trial of Amadu Koita and 11 others in the treason trail arising from the November 26 failed coup after 21 rejections. The trial resumes on Monday 12 February, 2024.

All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to counts of treason, murder, shooting with intent to murder, misprision of treason, and harboring. It also include unauthorized wearing of military uniform and unauthorized use of military uniform.

Sierra Leone lawmakers want better justice system
