The Coach of RSLAF FC, Tito Cole, has said they intended to lodge a formal complaint against Abdul Bangura, the referee who oversaw their match on Wednesday against FC Johansen.

Bangura awarded a controversial penalty to FC Johansen in the 80^th minute which was converted by Abdul Kamara. Minutes later RSLAF were denied what they claim was a penalty on the other end of the pitch. Instead they were given a free kick.

RSLAF lost the match 1-0.

Members of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) will gather in the Eastern district of Kenema his weekend to hold the association’s second congress in less than two months.

The congress is the second of three congresses that have been scheduled by FIFA and the SLFA to get football back on track in the country.

The congress which will be held on Saturday is aimed at forming the electoral body and the appeals committee - both organs are crucial in leading the FA to an elective congress later this year.

The decision which was announced last week comes as a devastating blow to teams that have been gearing up for months to take part in the competition.

Old Edwardians Football Club have suspended their coach, Patrick Bangura. Bangura sparked outrage from club executives on Friday night after his comments about the team’s welfare situation.

The Head Coach of FC Kallon, Amidu Karim, has urged his players to win against Anti-Drugs Strikers on Sunday. Karim’s call comes following two draws in their last two games.

“Our target is to win the league, so we need to win every game. I respect every team and I’m not taking anything for granted. (The game) Sunday must be a win considering our position,” Karim said.

FC Johansen Head Coach, Abdulai “Kaloga” Bah has called on fans to be patient with the team. Bah made the call in a pre-match press conference on the eve of their meeting with Old Edwardians

FC Johansen have struggled this season to take maximum points. Six games in to the new season and they haven’t won any - drawing four and losing two.

They are currently 11^th in the league.

Coach of Central Parade, Mohamed Lamin Kamara, has said he is not worried about his job. Kamara said he believed the management of the club would give him enough time to turn things around.

Kamara was speaking at a post-match press conference on Wednesday.

“I am not worried about my job. We have a very young team and most of the boys are only playing the Premier League for the first time. we are not 100% yet and I believe the management understands that,” he said.
