Sierra Leone FA boss blunders again

The beleaguered president of the Sierra Leone Football Association has attacked football stakeholders who have continuously called for her resignation.

Isha Johansen was recently talking the BBC when she described the football administrators opposed to her regime as "the greedy few and people who want to take football in their own hands to benefit for self rather than for nation."

She said their opposition to her administration was "a combination of politics, it's the governance and people refusing to change. It is not going to be business as usual."

Africa shines again in English football

Riyad Mahrez has won the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) award as the best player in the English league. He was voted for by fellow professional players in the Premier League.

He beats last year’s winner Harry Kane and team mates Jamie Vardy and Ngolo Kante to win the award.

The PFA is an organization of professional players in the Barclays Premier League in England. Every season it votes for players to be awarded in different categories for their efforts during the season.
