The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced the appointment of SWASAL Organizing Secretary, Abu BakarrKamara as a member of the FA’s Media Committee.
As we went to press last night, it wasn’t clear whether Kamara had accepted the role which according to the SWASAL constitution means he will have to resign his executive position in the body.

The Kroobay non-division continues with Aramack FC taking on Sir Albert today at the Practice field of the National Stadium in the final match in Group E. Aramack have played two matches with one point while Sir Albert have two points from the same number of games.
Coach Donald Macauley of Aramack told Politico that his team will play their normal game as they look forward to their first victory in the league. “We want to qualify for the next stage of the competition so my boys will gain more exposure’’.

The sport event titled Race for Survival organised by the NGO Save the Children starts this weekend at the National Stadium on Saturday 26th October with 10 schools across the country taking part. They are Richard Allen, Ahmadiyya, St Helena, Rokel, Model, Muslim Brotherhood, Constant Cummings-john, Technical, Services, Dr SM Broderick, and Municipal Secondary School.
According to Campaign Manager Joanna Tom Kargbo the schools must put forward a team of 36 children aged 11 to 13 years including 18 boys and 18 girls.
The Western Area Football Association (WAFA) is in the final stages of its preparation for the Division I, II , and female leagues scheduled to startin November.
WAFA Secretary General Kasho J. Holland Cole told this press that they will start the league "by all means possible."
He said all clubs should send in their relevant documents on or before the 25th of October because in previous years they were faced with "serious problems with clubs failing to submit personal details which delayed correspondences".

The management of the National Stadium has instructed the Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water-polo Association (SLSDWA) to pay one million three hundred thousand Leones monthly for the use of thepool.
