WAFA prepares for Division league

The Western Area Football Association (WAFA) is in the final stages of its preparation for the Division I, II , and female leagues scheduled to startin November.

WAFA Secretary General Kasho J. Holland Cole told this press that they will start the league "by all means possible."

He said all clubs should send in their relevant documents on or before the 25th of October because in previous years they were faced with "serious problems with clubs failing to submit personal details which delayed correspondences".

Swimming Association to pay for pool use

The management of the National Stadium has instructed the Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water-polo Association (SLSDWA) to pay one million three hundred thousand Leones monthly for the use of thepool.

Isha and Swarray Get CAF Job

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Isha Johansen and the acting General Secretary of the SLFA, Abdul Rahman Swarray have both been appointed to Standing Committees of the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

Johansen will sit on the CAF Organizing Committee for the Management of club licensing system whilst Swarray will serve on the CAF Disciplinary Board.

Camp Canada set for Athletics Meet

Camp Canada Athletics Club will organise the 2nd edition of their Inter-clubs’ athletics competition in the second week of November at the Trade Centre ground, Ferry Junction.

The event will bring together Athletics clubs in the country, both in the Western area and other parts of the country.

The captain of Camp Canada, Alim Sesay said the idea behind this initiative is to bring athletes together and to keep them fit for international Competitions.
