Head coach of Kissy All Stars FC, Raymond S. Lewis aka Mourinho regards this evening’s clash with East End Lions as “very crucial” adding that he expects his boys to hammer their opponent and put behind them the defeat they suffered at the hands of Old Edwardians over the weekend.
“I consider this one as an all east end affair, we expect to win,” said Lewis who however says he expects a stiff resistance from the Killers.
Lewis' optimism is based on the high spirit in his camp and in good psychological strength. “My team is intact and injury-free and I can also boast of a well disciplined squad with players who are in good shape and frame of mind”.
Coach Lewis described his opponents as a team with robust and physical players. “They are very strong on the ground and have the physique” he says.
For his part, Lions Manager, Tunde Scott has told his team that he expects to win tonight’s derby, team captain Issa Sesay has disclosed. He says Scott has a different attitude towards the league. “He expects us to go all the way and we are determined to do just that”.
On whether he fancies his team to win, Scott told Politico Sport that defeat was beyond his wildest dream and that he was looking forward to victory as he did in their last encounter with league leader Diamond Stars of Kono.
Meanwhile Freetown City FC who had gone three matches without a win, now sit slightly above the relegation zone after a 2 nil away win against 6th place Bo Rangers. Mighty Blackpool are now in that red zone.
