Abubakar Mansaray, a resident of a place called Small Country at Mabureh community in the general area of Waterloo has appeared before a Magistrate in Freetown for allegedly killing one Aminata Kamara.
The 49-year-old accused, identified as a beggar, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Ross Road Monday 21st August 2023, accused of committing the offence on December 24 2002 in the same community.
Mansaray, a single-leg amputee, is not represented by a lawyer.
Before entering the dock, the accused was seen dashing on the floor of the courtroom saying he was experiencing sharp pains in his leg when he tried to sit.
After the one count of murder was read out to him the accused cried out constantly and he had to be escorted out of the courtroom by court officials.
The preliminary hearing resumes on 29th August this year.
