A Prominent Politician in his early 50s, Prince Bindi on the 29th of September 2023 made his second appearance before Presiding Magistrate, Lamin Macathy of Court No.2 for alleged Sexual Penetration of a 9-year-old girl.
The accused was charged with three counts of sexual penetration-related offences.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused on the 23rd of July, 2023, called the girl who was with her colleagues coming from the Mosque gave her NLE5, and told her to come back later. The girl took permission from her Aunt that one ‘Uncle’ Prince Bindi asked her to go back to him, which she did.
According to her testimony, upon going back to the accused, he started playing videos for her and allegedly put her on his legs and started penetrating her with his finger. She said she started experiencing pain and told him to stop but said the accused continued his action.
She noted that due to the severity of the pain she could not walk well but managed to go home but her condition became serious and she was taken to the hospital since her Aunt could no longer manage the situation. It was at the hospital that they noticed that something was wrong with her and upon counseling she revealed the whole secret to her relatives pointing at the accused as being responsible for the action.
The matter was adjourned to the 2nd of October 2023 for further hearing.
