Masoila community secured their first win against Mordia in the first season of the Closet Creation Inter-Community League at the Fire Force playing ground, Tintafor Lungi.
Musa Conteh of Masoila community scored the first goal of the league.
Moses Bangura head coach of Masoila community said that he was happy that his team secured the first win in the Inter-Community league in Lungi Community, noting that his boys proved they were defending champions under their previous name, Osman FC, ‘’despite the fact that our opponents gave us a tough match’’.
Head coach of Lungi Mordia Mohamed Suma said he was disappointed at the loss to their arch rivals. Suma said, ‘’we had the chances but my boys were impatient in front of goal’’. He promised that their next match will be different.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the match between Suktarr Community and Tagrin was postponed due to heavy rain.
In other matches, Lokomasama lost 2-0 to Rotifunk whilst Mennika and Tintafor community played out a goalless draw.
The opening ceremony attracted dignitaries in the Lungi Community and Freetown. The guest of honour was Paramount Chief Bai Shebora Sheba Gbereh IIIof Lungi.
