The annual Beach and Indoor volleyball competition organised by the Western Area Volleyball Association (WAVA) starts on Thursday 21stNovember 2013.
According to Chief Organizer Mohamed Benson Bawoh, that the purpose of the competition is to encourage upcoming players in the country to showcase their talent. He said volleyball clubs in the western area are expected to participate as each club in the competition is expected to have two teams - male and female.
Bawoh said "this will be an open competition and clubs are at liberty to use any player of their choice".
In the meantime, the players are undergoing effective training as expectations are very high amongst competing teams.
Zainab Kamara, a player from Stadium Stars expressed delight for the start of the competitions, “this will improve our skills to face international competitions especially in beach volleyball."
