Champions tied to a 2-2 draw
On Tuesday evening, Central Parade became the second side to score two goals in a match against East End Lions. Lions who are already champions played this game with almost no ambition. Perhaps the only ambition for them was to make sure they remain unbeaten. And unbeaten they are.
Central Parade needed this victory to get close to the third spot. But its over for them, this was their last game of the 2018/19 season. They finish 6th on the table. The point difference between them and the other teams is healthy, so they are guaranteed that spot.
Whiles this has been an excellent season for Lions, Parade won’t say the same. They started with momentum but that has gradually faded over the course of the season. But for a team that spend what it generates, without the backing of patrons, they have done well.
Balona announce Koroma signing
Spanish third tier side, Real Balompedica have announced the signing of Alhassan Koroma for an undisclosed fee. Koroma who was on loan from Marampa Stars played a vital part in East End Lions league triumph this season.
