DE PA SCORES FROM THE OFF-SIDE POSITION AGAINST JOURNALISTS

So our two colleagues (Journalists) who joined the APC and tried to clinch the
party symbol to contest the seat of the Mayor of Freetown have been
ignored by ruling party big men? The symbols went to somebody whose
name was never once mentioned in Freetown as far as this race is
concerned. There are too many uncertainties in politics, eh? You know
our colleagues were so confident that this outcome must have shocked
them to their bones. In the coming days we shall analyse how many
politically-correct boxes the APC ticked by this appointment.

There’s a serious question to be asked now about how our colleagues would
resurrect their journalistic careers after this drive into politics.
Will they return to the newsroom any time soon? They say once a
Journalist, always a Journalist. So this is what we’ve  heard:
Umaru Fofana and his depleted executive are planning to do: A
reception will soon be held at SLAJ HQ to bring back our colleagues
home after that brave fight to capture a foreign territory. We
understand food and drinks will be served. We don’t want the
government to suspect we are very angry about their snobbery because
there are a few more of our colleagues waiting for their own
decisions. We don’t want the ruling party to throw them out of the
race on account of our comment, so we are keeping quiet for now.

If all the parties refuse to select our colleagues, we shall launch Operation Restore Hope and the political fortunes of the ruling party might be the collateral damage. We will get the equalizer from a corner kick.
Watch this space.

LEONE STARS’ BLUNDER IN THE PRESENCE OF DE PA

We now stand on the brink of being eliminated from a very important continental
football competition, CAF championships, due in South Africa. It was
a real disaster at the National Stadium where our national team were
held to an insipid 2-2 draw by Tunisia. Leone Stars took the lead
twice but they conceded two goals too cheaply. With De Pa watching
from the stands and enjoying his time in the spotlight to boost his
chances of being re-elected for another five years, this was the
perfect opportunity. But De Pa’s celebration after Leone Stars
scored their second goal was short-lived as the Tunisians scored in
less than two minutes.

Now, like the football match, De Pa looks set for a run-off. And if for the sake of
completing this story the Tunisians represent the opposition in
Sierra Leone, then it will be a long night for De Pa on 17 November.
Readers don’t have to believe us but we urge them to take a good
look at what happened at the stadium.

Our so-called professional players have lost the plot. The man masquerading as
coach has no idea what it means to be a coach. His tactical decisions
are always faulty and he is really low on confidence. Here’s what
we should do within the next 48 hours: Dismiss Olof Martesson and
hire a coach who is his own man and understands what it means running
a football team; make it a policy not to invite so-called
professionals just because they are not based in Sierra Leone and let
the new coach start building a new home-based squad that will form
the nucleus of the national team.

NDA CONVENTION – ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF...

In the end, the National Democratic Alliance will have to go to KAYS
NIGHT CLUB (does it still exist?) like their counterparts in the PMDC
did to cobble up something that looks like a delegates’ meeting to
fulfil conditions set by PPRC. We are saying this because every time
they plan a convention, they cancel it at the last minute. Now the
party has gone even further to expel a presidential aspirant in the
shape of Mohamed Pateh Bah. We have in fact just been told that Pateh
Bah has been thrown out of the party after being accused of
collecting something from De Pa and stirring up violence.
PRESIDENTIAL FREE BIES...
hahahahaha

We have serious doubts as to whether the real reason for the expulsion of Pateh Bah
was about him being violent. If that was a good argument, how many
parties would hold a convention in Sierra Leone? The NDA must stop
pretending, having an excellent Spokesman is not all what it takes to
win an election, on this side of heaven.

We should also ask why Pateh behaved like Alhassan Ouattara and Etienne
Tshishikedi who declared themselves president of Ivory Coast and D.R
Congo respectively even before the results were in.
In
Pateh's case even before the votes were held.
Pateh
is reported to have called a hastily-arranged news conference to
announce he had taken over the leadership of NDA. We have asked the
UN to consider sending Peacekeepers quickly to Kenema to guard
against any cheating. Pateh thrives in this kind of situation. The
NDA is a nicely bred party, tried to RESPECT everyone. Its recent
slant towards socialist rhetoric has given it a really sharp edge and
we should never be surprised if they score high this time. The last
thing they need now is another Alhassan Ouattara.

PMDC CONVENTION – U-TURNS AND V-TURNS

History is being written under our noses and the main actors think we are all fools.
They can take us for granted without consequences. We listened to all
the speeches and studied the body language. Let us tell you guys,
that no Sierra Leonean was surprised at the turn of events. We knew
all along that all the grandstanding and brinkmanship meant nothing
other than people cutting deals to feather their nests and in the
process doing the will of Almighty De Pa.

We are waiting for
their new message. We have copious recordings of engaging people in
Freetown and in the countryside and we shall be using them to educate
the people at the right time. All the U-turns and V-turns should be
kept inside dark rooms and party offices. The day the people cut
their own deals is here and their deals will be based on information
provided by journalists about the maximization of their welfare
including that of their children.

This cut-yar/-put-yar politics must stop now.

NOVEMBER POST-PONED

With NEC shouting TIME SHORT and political parties in the opposition
screaming FOUL and WE WANT FOR BEGIN CAPMAIGN, the PPRC saying
PARLIAMENT HAS NOT PRIORITISED OUR ACT
,
it seems the key players want November to come after December to they
have more time to do more things. But they have to put up withthe
reality. November comes before December. And guess what, the masses
would like October to come before November so these elections, the
hatred, the stomach eruption, the depletion of the nation's wealth,
etc would all be over. God you be the judge that you always are. Our
hopes are pinned in you.
