Leone Stars will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The two-leg fixture was originally scheduled to be in September this year.
Sierra Leone is in the same group with Nigeria, Benin and Lesotho. The Leone Stars have already played Lesotho in Freetown where they drew 1-1. They travelled two days later to Benin where they lost 1-0.
The clash against Nigeria will be in Freetown on the 23rd March and the second leg away to Nigeria will be on March 31st.
Leones Stars Coach, Sellas Tetteh, has not made a statement since the new date for the fixture was announced. But Tetteh is under pressure to get Leone Stars play better and win games.
Sierra Leone has not qualified for any major tournament since 1996.
