Sierra Leone recorded 0.17% and 0.22% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (2.69%), Cape Verde (1.19%), Ivory Coast (0.24%), Gambia (0.83%), Guinea (0.33%), Liberia (5.08%), Mali (2.09%), Niger (5.24%), Nigeria (0.98%), Senegal (0.77%), Togo (1.23%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.46%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.89%), Africa (1.52%), Europe (2.67%), North America (3.05%), South America (1.27%), Asia (1.52%) and World (2.18%). Increase in total cases was lower in Gambia (0.08%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (2.85%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.89%), Ghana (0.62%), Mali (1.42%), Niger (1.32%), Nigeria (0.17%), Senegal (0.60%), ECOWAS (0.38%), Africa (1.33%), North America (1.76%), South America (0.79%), Asia (1.17%) and the World (1.71%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (2.40%), Burkina Faso (0.75%), Cape Verde (0.71%), Ghana (0.75%), Guinea (0.95%), Liberia (1.12%), Mali (1.35%), Niger (0.81%), Nigeria (0.98%), Senegal (0.32%), Togo (2.20%), MRU (0.49%), ECOWAS (0.77%), Africa (2.13%), Europe (4.54%), North America (2.32%), South America (0.84%), Asia (1.24%) and the World (1.99%). Increase in total recoveries was lower in Ivory Coast (0.21%) and Gambia (0.11%) compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
