FIRST WAVE OF SLFA DISQUALIFICATIONS COMPLETED

It was clear to everybody in this country including even the most naïve that Queen Johansen and her so-called Electoral Bodies would have to carry out a broad daylight massacre of other leadership hopefuls to maintain the status quo. On Friday evening the first wave of the massacre project was carried out by the Electoral Appeals Committee. They have thrown Wonder Boy Mohamed Ajay Kallon and Kasho Holland-Cole out of the presidential race. That decision has left a nasty taste in the mouths of many Sierra Leoneans. From the look of things, Sierra Leone football has been dealt a devastating blow yet again. The good people of Sierra Leone hold FIFA Secretary General Fatouma Samura in particular and FIFA in general responsible for the calamity.

Mohamed Kallon says he is on his way to court to challenge this injustice. For him this fight is as much about fighting hate and corruption at the SLFA as it is about restoring his name as a decent and proud son of this country who has done for this country what Queen Johansen could only dream of. The world knows that.

We are waiting for all the mercenary committees to complete their slaughter of the good people in Sierra Leone football to secure the presidency for Queen Johansen before we tell the full story of how things happened starting just before the recent chaotic SLFA congress in Kenema.

We made it clear from the outset that criminal rigging of 2013 will not be repeated in 2021. The SLFA has made the second move and the chips are falling in place.

As far as the ruling disqualifying Mohamed and Kasho is concerned, all we want to know right now is the reason why the Veterans Association was qualified to nominate MAZOLA and JOHN DISSA but NOT Mohamed Kallon.

We also refer to point number EIGHT of the ruling quoted here:

That the following Secretariat Staff- Alusine Aiah Kabba and Mohamed Bowen Freeman- are here by restricted from participating in any electoral related activities.

The whole country wants to know why the two people have been thrown under the bus this way by a secretariat that is administratively corrupt and inefficient.

On behalf of the good people of Sierra Leone, we DEMAND that the transcript of the meeting of the so-called Electoral Appeals Committee and the Electoral Committee which started the massacre be released immediately. The good people of Sierra Leone DESERVE to know what it all happened. We are not asking for sanitized minutes please. We want the TRANSCRIPT.

MUSA TOMBO FLIES OUT AGAIN BUT FOR HOW LONG?

So Musa Tombo is off again to Scandinavia. With all the mess in the local game, this is a good time for players looking forward to reaching the big leagues in Europe to take their chances there, in South Africa or other parts of ECOWAS where people care more about football than the money flowing in from FIFA and in this country, from the government.

The latest move by Musa Tombo tells the world that the young man has something in him that good football brains have long discovered. In the end we have to wish him well in Norway in the hope that he will be in our national line up as he makes progress in Europe. Having said that, we have to call attention to the following issues:

1. When Tombo unexpectedly left his former training ground in Sweden and returned home, it was widely reported that he left because that country was too COLD. Now, we have all reason to doubt that was in fact why he left Sweden because nobody leaves Sweden in fear of the cold weather and runs off to Norway.

2. We don’t yet know the condition under which Tombo was taken to Norway. Already there are complaints from his local side East End Lions about the way he left the country. We shall see how that plays out in the coming weeks.

3. We are ready to work with other Sierra Leoneans to make sure Tombo has a constant supply of CRAIN CRAIN and BARA BARA rice. He likes that local dish very much. In fact, a few minutes after landing in Sierra Leone from that mystery contract in Sweden, Tombo went to a local restaurant and ordered his favorite dish with dozens of smartphone cameras clicking away. So, let’s keep the supply line open and Tombo will be fine in Oslo.

TAKING A KNEE ON THE FIELD AND TWEETING RACIST NONSENSE

In the English Premier League, players take a knee before every match as a sign of their commitment to fight racial discrimination in world football. It all stems from the Black Lives Matter campaign in the US calling for justice following a growing number of incidents in which black people were shot and killed by police for trivial reasons at times while white people found in similar circumstances get a caution before being sent home.

We are writing about this because of the hypocrisy at the bottom of all the plenty campaign in the English Premier League. We note that sometimes action is taken against players when they say things the Football Association deems racist. A recent example was that of Edinson Cavani who was banned from playing for a few weeks for allegedly making a racist comment after scoring a fine goal for his team, Manchester United. He told the English FA that the word he used was acceptable in his country Uruguay but that was rejected.

Now, what is UK doing about those racist fans attacking black players daily for having a bad day on the pitch? Anthony Martial and Axel Tuanzebe received vicious racial blasting after Manchester United were defeated by bottom side Sheffield United. We are not particularly interested in how they contributed to the defeat or not because any team can beat any team in the EPL. While the FA is thinking about how to react to the incident, a West Bromwich Albion player was also racially attacked.

The affected teams always issue statements condemning the act but that is not all that is required. We want fans to be arrested, tried and jailed or at least fined and then face lengthy bans from all stadiums worldwide. It’s possible. We have to match rhetoric with action. Taking a knee before matches is fine but what happens when people associated with the game misbehave by racially abusing players? Only BLACK PLAYERS, in fact!

Look at the disgrace in Italy, where a man who should know better, Ibrahimovich of AC Milan racially abused Lukaku of Inter Milan. Does that make any sense? The Italian FA has banned both players for ONE Match without calling Ibrajimowich out for his racist comments. SHAME!
