The Head Coach of FC Kallon, Amidu Karim, has urged his players to win against Anti-Drugs Strikers on Sunday. Karim’s call comes following two draws in their last two games.

“Our target is to win the league, so we need to win every game. I respect every team and I’m not taking anything for granted. (The game) Sunday must be a win considering our position,” Karim said.

FC Kallon are 6th in the table after six games. The team have only won two games and drawn four this season. No team has drawn more games in the league this season than FC Kallon, FC Johansen and Central Parade; they have all drawn four games each.

In total they have drawn 12 out of the 19 games they have played.

On Sunday FC Kallon will play Anti-Drugs. Anti-Drugs defeated champions East End Lions last week 1-0. Their coach, Raymond Hunter, said the team would not rest on last week’s success.

“We need to win more matches. Winning against Lions is not the end of the league. We want to perform better. We believe we can win against FC Kallon on Sunday,” Hunter said.

Anti-Drugs have 8 points, a win could see them overtake FC Kallon in the table.

FC Kallon had a major boost last week when Baimba Sesay made his debut following a protracted transfer dispute. Karim said his (Sesday’s) inclusion is a boost to the team.

“Every technical man will be happy to have a player like Baimba. If you’ve noticed in our last two matches, we haven’t played with a point striker,” he said.

Even though he has made his debut, the player’s transfer is still shrouded in controversy. But Karim said that doesn’t bother him.

“The management has told me that Baimba is eligible to play and he will play for us on Sunday,” he said.

FC Kallon are still struggling to get one of their attacking players, Sallieu Tarawallie, fit. A decision on whether he will play might come as late as hours before the game.
