The second Prosecution Witness (PW2)-Aminata Munu, in an ongoing Murder Preliminary Investigation implicating Alpha Kamara as accused, has tendered the certificate of cause of death of Abubakar Munu to a Magistrate Court in Freetown.
The PW2, a sibling of the deceased while testifying at the Pademba Road Court No.1 on Thursday 28th August 2023, informed the court that on Monday 14th August this year, she got information about his brother the deceased.
She said upon receiving the information, she rushed to the place where the incident happened at Corner Kick, Waterloo.
PW2 further said she was told to go to the Waterloo Police station, where she met the accused in a police vehicle, which was about to take the accused to the Ross Road Police Station.
PW2 also informed the court that she later went to the Connaught Morgue where she saw the remains of her brother in a stretcher.
Led in by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ishmael S. Mansaray, PW2 tendered the certificate of cause of death to the court.
She confirmed making a voluntary cautioned statement at the Waterloo Police Station in connection to the murder incident.
Kamara the accused faces one count of murder. The preliminary investigation resumes 5th October 2023.
