The Paramount Chief of Kaffu Bullum Chiefdom Bai Shebora Sheba Gbereh III, has pleaded with Ministry of Sports to improve the condition of the playing field at Tintafor Lungi, to include "seating accommodation for fans, dressing rooms and a perimeter fence" because "over the years the field has been in a bad..." The chief praised the young people in his chiefdom who have continuously worked on the field to keep the "playing surface in reasonably good shape". He disclosed that they will soon establish the Kaffu Bullum District Football Association (KBDFA) and the league will kick-off immediately after. In his response, the deputy Minister of Sport Ishmail Al- Sankoh Conteh said the project suggested by the chief and his people was "in place because football needs to be decentralized". Sankoh said that "there are lots of talented footballers in lungi who are part of the national team and are also doing well with bigger clubs in the country... as such the ministry wants to see football improve in all areas of the county". He congratulated the traditional leader and his people for their effort in developing football at their level and assured them that the ministry will look into their proposal as soon as possible.
