City and Cole Farm await COFA decision

By Kemoh Sesay

Mountain City and Cole Farm are waiting for the Central One Football Association COFA to decide their fate following the violence that marred their quarter final match in the inter-area league at the Parade Grounds on Tuesday.

Cole farm took the lead in the 35 minute after a fine build-up from mid field. Mohamed Kamara slotted home from close range. City leveled  the score line in the second half through a free kick just outside the 18yrds box. As City celebrated, Cole farm brought three of their players to the Chairman OF COFA Samah Sesay at the Presidential pavilions alleging that City Supporters had sprayed that with traditional herbs that caused skin inflammation.

Supporters of City also made similar allegations. The situation then became uncontrollable as the referee and his assistants left the field saying they were not protected.

Meanwhile COFA chairman Sammah Sesay has said that COFA will "study the events and come up with a decision, very soon".

The semi final is expected takes place on Saturday between Magazine and Mount Aureol with Soja Tong awaiting the winner between Cole Farm and Mountain City.
