FC Kallon bag Le 10 million

FC Kallon bagged 10 million Leones from a one day gala organized by football stakeholders over the weekend at the Kaytee Field, Kingtom.

Eastern Best lost to Kallon in the first match 1-0. In the second match it was goalless between Mighty Blackpool and Eastern Best. In the finals Kallon FC and Mighty Blackpool played to a goalless draw.

FC Kallon ended the day with 4 points, Blackpool 2 points and Eastern Best 1 point.

Head coach of Mighty Blackpool Abu Sankoh described the performance of his boys against Kallon as outstanding. He told Politico after the match that it was not a surprise to him and the spectators because it demonstrates that a lot of money has been invested in securing good players for the team.

Sankoh said that during the match they had many chances but his boys did not make good use them.  He said ‘’if those chances were utilized, Kallon would have conceded more goals in the match’’.

Charlie Wright, head coach of FC Kallon said the performance by his boys against Mighty Blackpool is one of the best he has seen since Abu Sankoh took up the job as coach of Mighty Blackpool. Wright said, “most of the players involved in this match are new players brought in to replace the older ones that have left the team for professional contracts abroad...despite that they were able to dominate Mighty Blackpool in the match".
