Kallon Juniors secured their first win in the ongoing Kroobay League at the practicing field of the national stadium, by defeating Mountain City 1-0.
The lone goal was scored by Osman Jalloh in the 65th minute of play.
The head coach of Kallon Juniors Musa Kallon said his boys deserve the victory because, according to him "they played to win".
Kallon described the competition as a "platform to showcase my boys' talents...As a coach I will take the competition very seriously because I want to win the trophy’’.
Mountain City’s coach Suaibu Kargbo told Politico he was disappointed with the performance of his boys. Speaking to Politico, he attributed their loss to“ lack of concentration in the defensive area. He promised "to correct our mistakes to approach our next match against Kissy Strikers”.
