Former Sierra Leone international, Lamin Bangura has returned to Guinean football club AS Kaloum as coach. Bangura who was recently sacked by Diamond Stars of Sierra Leone told Politico that following his release by the national premier champions, "I was without a club for the past few months and during that time I was approach again to coach AS Kaloum, the club where I started my coaching career and having made history with them, I was accepted whole heartedly by the club’s executive and fans and am happy about that".
Bangura said since he left the club "things have taken a different dimension with AS Kaloum and the club came third in the Guinean league and they are now on a pre-season tour of Freetown where they are doing well". He attributed the improvement the structure he put in place during his first stint with the club.
Bangura was recently named best coach for 2012 by the influential Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone.
