He was on an inspection tour of NASSIT facilities in Bo and explained that expanding offices in Moyamba and Portloko will create employment and expand the scheme for more to join. He said over the years, people are agitating for offices that he said will be given consideration.
DG Daboh stated that the affordable houses at Bandajuma on the Bo/Kenema Highway are occupied by people and that NASSIT has acres of land on the same facility where they intend to build a hospital, as they have already engaged one of their partners, David Walters Associates (DWA) for the health facility.
The NASSIT boss highlighted challenges with their lands bordering the University in Bo and other lands on the Bo/Tiaima highway, but promised to resolve those bottle necks.
"I am very much satisfied with the tours, starting from Port Loko, Moyamba now Bo. The projects in Moyamba and Port Loko are tremendously going well and I’m personally impressed with the work of the contractors” he said.
Speaking to Journalists in Bo, Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security (MELSS), Mohamed Rahman Swarray who was also part of the inspection tour said he came to Bo to get firsthand experience.
"The facilities I have seen is a mixed bag. The concept is a great idea. They can do more hands with maintenance of the facilities. NASSIT is doing well and the Director General has a clear vision to where he wants to take the institution to," he said.
