Sierra Leone recorded 0.08% and 0.15% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.76%), Cape Verde (1.17%), Ivory Coast (0.96%), Gambia (0.45%), Ghana (1.74%), Guinea (0.70%), Guinea-Bissau (0.65%), Liberia (0.20%), Mali (0.38%), Nigeria (0.61%), Senegal (1.39%), Togo (3.02%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.79%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.99%), Africa (0.65%), Europe (0.93%), North America (0.1 %), South America (1.08%), Asia (0.66%) and the world (0.79%). Benin and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (3.66%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (0.70%), Cape Verde (0.68%), Ivory Coast (1.58%), Gambia (1.35%), Ghana (2.19%), Mali (1.43%), Nigeria (0.68%), Senegal (1.62%), MRU (0.68%), ECOWAS (1.11%), Africa (0.83%), Europe (0.79%), North America (0.80%), South America (0.95%), Asia (0.45%) and the world (0.77%). Benin, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.61%), Cape Verde (0.82%), Ivory Coast (0.89%), Ghana (1.83%), Guinea (0.26%), Guinea-Bissau (0.62%), Mali (0.83%), Nigeria (1.03%), Senegal (1.92%), Togo (2.55%), MRU (0.64%), ECOWAS (1.21%), Africa (0.70%), Europe (1.82%), North America (1.38%), South America (1.06%), Asia (0.65%) and the world (1.22%). Benin, Gambia, Liberia and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
