Sierra Leone recorded 0.05% and 0.28% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (06:00 pm).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.27%), Cape Verde (1.25%), Ivory Coast (0.89%), Gambia (0.84%), Ghana (0.25%), Guinea (1.37%), Mali (3.26%), Niger (0.40%), Nigeria (0.16%), Senegal (0.52%), Togo (3.70%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.96%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.56%), Africa (0.64%), Europe (1.01%), North America (0.61%), South America (1.12%), Asia (2.12%) and the world (1.15%). However, percentage increase in total cases was lower in Guinea-Bissau (0.03%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Ivory Coast (2.40%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.17%), Gambia (0.61%), Ghana (1.08%), Guinea (1.56%), Guinea-Bissau (1.54%), Mali (0.77%), Niger (0.53%), Senegal (0.66%), Togo (1.82%), MRU (1.48%), ECOWAS (0.58%), Africa (0.59%), Europe (0.76%), North America (0.30%), South America (1.30%), Asia (1.02%) and the world (0.77%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.38%), Ivory Coast (2.80%), Gambia (0.32%), Ghana (0.28%), Guinea (6.91%), Guinea-Bissau (0.67%), Mali (1.28%), Niger (1.23%), Senegal (0.63%), Togo (3.11%), MRU (3.71%), ECOWAS (0.91%), Africa (0.50%), Europe (1.25%), North America (0.97%), South America (1.51%), Asia (1.61%) and the world (1.29%). Percent increase in total recoveries was lower in Cape Verde (1.15%) and Nigeria (0.14%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
