Sierra Leone recorded 0.59% and 0.12% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Burkina Faso (2.77%), Cape Verde (3.75%), Gambia (1.73%), Guinea (1.79%), Guinea-Bissau (1.81%), Senegal (1.00%), Togo (1.60%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.94%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.71%), Africa (1.30%), Europe (2.66%), North America (1.62%), South America (2.38%), Asia (3.12%) and the World (2.35%). However, increases in total cases in Ghana (0.27%), Liberia (0.08%), Mali (0.43%), Niger (0.09%) and Nigeria (0.51%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Ivory Coast (0.59%) recorded the same increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total cases.
Guinea-Bissau (11.76%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (1.71%), Gambia (2.06%), Ghana (2.54%), Guinea (3.39%), Nigeria (2.34%), Senegal (0.70%), Togo (3.33%), MRU (1.22%), ECOWAS (1.82%), Africa (1.76%), Europe (0.43%), North America (1.24%), South America (1.66%), Asia (2.22%) and the World (1.33%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, , Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (2.14%), Cape Verde (2.95%), Ivory Coast (1.35%), Gambia (25.48%), Ghana (0.49%), Guinea (3.58%), Liberia (0.09%), Mali (1.60%), Niger (0.28%), Nigeria (0.89%), Senegal (2.28%), Togo (2.27%), MRU (1.90%), ECOWAS (1.32%), Africa (1.46%), Europe (1.35%), North America (2.47%), South America (2.56%), Asia (3.10%) and the World (2.51%). Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
