Sierra Leone recorded 0.58%, 0.41% and 0.68% increase in COVID-19 total cases, total deaths and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Benin (1.31%), Burkina Faso(0.89%), Cape Verde (2.64%), Ivory Coast (0.61%), Gambia (3.00%), Ghana (0.67%), Guinea (0.70%), Mali (0.98%), Nigeria (0.86%), Senegal (0.63%), Togo (2.34%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.62%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.83%), Africa (1.21%), Europe (2.02%), North America (1.12%), South America (1.67%), Asia (3.00%) and the World (1.92%). However, increase in total cases in Liberia (0.15%) and Niger (0.08%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Secondly, Sierra Leone’s increase in total deaths was lower compared to Cape Verde (2.38%), Guinea (1.61%), Togo (9.09%), South America (1.46%), Asia (2.21%) and the world (1.23%). However, Gambia (1.04%), Mali (0.79%), Nigeria (0.85%), Senegal (0.69%), MRU (0.60%), ECOWAS (0.73%), Europe (0.41%) and North America (1.14%) recorded lower increase in total deaths compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Niger recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (3.30%), Ivory Coast (0.97%), Gambia (11.03%), Guinea (1.25%), Mali (0.93%), Niger (0.73%), Nigeria (0.88%), Senegal (1.38%), Togo (2.69%), MRU (1.02%), ECOWAS (1.03%), Africa (1.38%), Europe (1.32%), North America (2.26%), South America (3.18%), Asia (3.04%) and the World (2.61%). Burkina Faso (0.54%), Ghana (0.66%) and Liberia (0.34%) recorded lower increase in total recoveries compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
