Sierra Leone recorded 0.25% and 0.05% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (0.55%), Burkina Faso (4.65%), Cape Verde (0.85%), Ghana (0.67%), Guinea (0.46%), Mali (3.38%), Niger (9.71%), Nigeria (1.47%), Senegal (0.68%), Togo (1.29%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.28%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.07%), Africa (1.44%), Europe (2.21%), North America (2.80%), South America (1.17%), Asia (1.37%) and World (1.95%). Increase in total cases was lower in Ivory Coast (0.19%) and Gambia (0.16%) compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Mali (3.43%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (1.47%), Ivory Coast (0.76%), Ghana (0.31%), Niger (1.28%), Nigeria (0.25%), Senegal (0.29%), MRU (0.27%), ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.39%), Europe (2.61%), North America (1.90%), South America (0.76%), Asia (1.06%) and the World (1.67%). Benin, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (1.71%), Burkina Faso (0.77%), Cape Verde (0.79%), Ivory Coast (0.12%), Gambia (0.44%), Ghana (0.71%), Guinea (0.67%), Mali (2.28%), Niger (0.16%), Nigeria (0.45%), Senegal (0.62%), Togo (0.82%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (0.57%), Africa (1.53%), Europe (4.11%), North America (2.65%), South America (1.36%), Asia (1.24%) and the World (2.11%). Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
