Sierra Leone recorded 0.97% increase in COVID-19 total cases in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.56%), Cape Verde (3.98%), Gambia (2.10%), Guinea-Bissau (1.38%), Togo (1.31%), Africa (1.28%), Europe (2.95%), North America (1.40%), South America (2.17%), Asia (3.35%) and the World (2.36%). However, increases in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.54%), Ghana (0.17%), Guinea (0.95%), Liberia (0.15%), Mali (0.48%), Nigeria (0.69%), Senegal (0.65%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.68%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.66%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (2.78%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (2.33%), Gambia (1.01%), Ghana (0.71%), Guinea-Bissau (2.63%), Nigeria (0.56%), ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.40%), Europe (0.48%), North America (1.22%), South America (1.55%), Asia (2.56%) and the World (1.37%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Gambia (8.36%) recorded the highest increase in total recoveries compared to Burkina Faso (0.81%), Cape Verde (4.11%), Ivory Coast (1.07%), Ghana (0.18%), Guinea (1.33%), Liberia (0.42%), Mali (0.18%), Niger (0.09%), Nigeria (0.89%), Senegal (1.71%), Togo (1.92%), MRU (1.07%), ECOWAS (0.90%), Africa (1.57%), Europe (1.69%), North America (1.95%), South America (2.70%), Asia (3.10%) and the World (2.48%). Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
